New C-wrap labeling machine premiers at Anuga FoodTec: Accurate label application around corners

• Introducing the new 752C model, HERMA presents a very versatile and economic C-wrap labeling machine that is especially suited for the food industry.

• The machine wraps a single label around the top, front face and bottom of a pack in one pass, thereby sealing the container.

• Thanks to quick changeover options and a wide range of accessories, the labeling machine can be easily adapted for a variety of tasks.

Offering an appealing presentation and protection for sold goods, the trend towards clamshell packaging for snacks, salads, desserts or pastry continues. Labels play a major part in this, serving both as a secure sealant and for identification purposes. At this year’s Anuga FoodTec show in Cologne, HERMA (hall 7.1, stand E049) will present a versatile labeling machine for the food industry. The HERMA 752C has been designed to wrap a single label around the top, front face and bottom of a pack in one pass, thereby sealing the container, with the capability of labeling up to 30 products per minute. Moreover, the integrated high-performance HERMA 400 label applicator enables the precise application of very long labels for products with a maximum length of 300 mm. The machine’s compact and very stable design as well as various assembly options (e.g. left- and right-hand version, for upright, horizontal, or suspended operation) ensure its versatility for use in almost any production environment.

Easy adaptation
The machine is also efficient in other respects: it can easily be adapted to other product sizes in a matter of minutes with just a few work steps. Both the width of the guide rails and side belts and the position of the label applicator can be easily adjusted. The length of the in-feed conveyor can be custom-tailored according to individual customer requirements, e.g. to ensure optimal use of space in existing production lines. A thermal transfer printing unit can be easily integrated in order to print variable data from an upstream check weigher. With a wide range of useful accessories, including a pack turning unit, the 752C may well be the most versatile and economic three-panel labeling system available.
